Which Vancouver medspas does ChatGPT recommend?

How this was measured

Twelve consumer-intent questions a Vancouver patient might ask an assistant were each sent once to gpt-5.4-mini with web_search=true, one task per API call, on 2026-10-06. No location parameter was passed (recorded as not_requested). Each answer's recommended business names were recorded in answer order; a domain is shown only where the answer cited that clinic's own site. Directories and aggregators (Yelp, RealSelf, yocale, Fresha and the like) are not clinics and are excluded. A clinic is counted once per question.

Web search was enabled. The twelve questions:

1. What is the best medspa in Vancouver?
2. Where can I get Botox in Vancouver?
3. Best clinic for lip and dermal filler in Vancouver
4. Best laser hair removal clinic in Vancouver
5. Where to get a medical facial or HydraFacial in Vancouver
6. Where can I get CoolSculpting or body contouring in Vancouver?
7. Best microneedling clinic in Vancouver
8. Best clinic for skin tightening and anti-aging in Vancouver
9. Top rated medspa near me in downtown Vancouver
10. Best medspa for injectables in Vancouver
11. Which Vancouver medspa has the best reviews?
12. Best laser hair removal clinic in Burnaby

Reproducible: the same twelve questions, the same model, run monthly on the same request shape.

The full index

All 49 clinics named across the twelve questions, sorted by how many questions named each one (then alphabetically). “Own-site cited” shows the clinic's own domain only where the answer linked to it rather than to a directory.

$0.3492 across 12 tasks, collected 2026-10-06.

By treatment

The names each question returned, in the order the model gave them. These are the twelve question groups behind the index above.

How the model chose

Two things were visible in the answer text itself, not inferred. First, the model justified nearly every pick by a review rating and volume it had surfaced — a star score and a review count. Second, it leaned on medical credentials where the answer mentioned them, describing clinics as dermatologist-led, physician-supervised, or similar. And the names came mostly from third-party directories; only some picks cited the clinic's own website.

This is one dated snapshot of what a single model named on a single day, largely from directory snippets. It is not a quality assessment of any clinic, and run-to-run variation is unmeasured — the monthly refresh will expose it.

How to be included

There is no shortcut we can sell you into these answers, and this page makes no promise that any website or markup change earns a citation. The index simply re-runs on the same twelve questions and the same model each month; the next refresh is scheduled for 2026-11-06, appended as a new dated dataset so the month-over-month movement is visible.
